After sewing from a big 5 pattern in my last project, I went back to sew another Colette Pattern, the last one in my stash. In total, I’ve made 6 of them patterns. By now, I am so used to Colette Patterns construction and design and as usual so I did not have much trouble completing the project. Without further ado, here it is
Pattern Description: Parfait from Colette Pattern
Pattern Sizing: I cut size 2 (sigh, I am no longer size 0). I am glad I did a muslin, otherwise, I would have just gone with size 0 and it will not fit at all. I learn from my Macaron dress, it is so tight, i can hardly breath so going a size up it a great idea.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I think so
Were the instructions easy to follow? Crystal, except when it comes to joining the skirt and bodice but the errata is put out there already, no biggy
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Like: perfect addition to my summer dress, playful yet doesn’t make me feel like a 17 year old
Fabric Used: Silk cotton purchased at the Alameda Flea Market, I don’t remember who the vendor was but she mostly sells buttons and is based in Pleasanton. I have enough leftover to make a little girl dress
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I did an SBA using Gertie’s tutorial. it came out perfect 🙂
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Nope but highly recommend it to others
Here is the back
