This past week, I managed to get this far
Lady grey coat front. Hair canvas on one side of the body is basted to the shell fabric. I thought hand sewing is very painful. It turns out to be very relaxing and the silk thread is a joy to work with, so fine and well, silky. Making a bound buttonhole is also very fun, it definitely adds that luxury feel to my coat.
I started Buckwheat two weeks ago and I am almost at the waist shaping. The yarn is a little rough, it is a cascade heritage. I heard on Alana’s Never Not Knitting podcast that sock yarn tends to be rough. I hope it will turn out ok, this is my last batch of cascade yarn and I want to use it up before I upgrade myself to an indie yarn. I sold 10+ skeins of Cascade yarn on Ravelry, they are affordable yarn but not very soft on my skin.
