Call me crazy but once I start sewing, there is no stopping. I pretty much spent my whole monday sewing this baby, pausing only to do laundry and cook dinner. Here is a little sneak peak, I am not quite done yet. I still have to install the zipper (scary !!) and seam the skirt and hem.
The pattern is great, the Selfish Seamstress did a great job drafting this pattern. It is very easy and perfect for beginner. It helps that she is a petite gal, I don’t have to do much adjustment. I am not quite please, however, with the whole “sew on all in one facings”. I could have done a better job with that but I was a bit puzzled by this and this tutorials I found on the web. As a result, the fit around the yoke looks a little tight but I can cover it up by wearing a cardigan.
Related to sewing, I am joining the stash bustin’ challenge organized by Zoe. I don’t have too much fabric, but it is not little either. I have a few knit fabrics, cotton and a ton of quilting cotton. My pledge is to sew all of them before my cash flow improves and once the cash flow improves, sew three items before I can buy one. The exception is notions such as interfacing, threads, zipper etc
