I am off work for a week starting today, yay !! I really need it, work has been crazy for the last two months. So, I’ve been busy at home like a house elf.
Laundry – washed and folded
Dirty dishes – washed and dried
Pantry – all stocked up
Christmas gift – some bought and wrapped, some are WIP
Holiday cookies – coming soon (I will bake for the first time in my whole life in two days)
Sewing and Knitting – In progress as you can see here
I’ve been knitting up a storm. I started this Farmer’s Market Cardigan two weekends ago and I’ve finished the body this morning, pretty fast I say.
Up next is the christmas gift for my niece, Hana. She is a vivacious five years old and loves Disney princesses. So I thought I make her a covered Disney princess coloring book. I printed the coloring pages from coloring-book.info, bound it at Kinko’s and am about to sew the cover using this tutorial. My hope is she will use the cover for her other notebooks long after the coloring pages are all colored up. I am also going to make her a pencil case using this tutorial and library book tote using this. All of them from Sew Mama Sew’s 2009 Handmade Holidays tutorial series
Here you can see, I am busy cutting
The fabric is the Japanese Little Red Riding Hood Linen that I got from Peapod Fabrics when I went crazy there yesterday
My lord, I could hardly contain myself. Luckily, they were mostly the $2 FQ. But fear not, I have a big plan with these FQs, I am going to make a all pink and all blue quilt inspired by this cute quilt from Petit Details
The one at the bottom right hand corner is a charm pack from SuperBuzzy purchased at Renegade Craft Fair yesterday. BTW, the fair was awesome, there are some many different stuffs; clothes, jewelry, fabrics, soap, stationery etc.
Here are some snapshots
