I love summer because the day is longer and I can snap photos of my FO after work. I wore this to work today and got so many compliments from my co-workers. And…this is the first time I am able to pair my sewing FO (Chantilly) and knitting FO.
Pattern: Emelie by Elin Berglund
Yarn: A little over 2 hanks of Colinette Jitterbug in Vatican Pie (notoriously hard to photograph)
Needle: Size 5 and 4
Size: 34
I really love how this sweater turns out, the length and the fit are awesome. The color is also very versatile and I can pair it with so many dresses in my wardrobe (black, white, blue you name it). I don’t make any modifications but I skip the fake seam (being lazy). The pattern is knit in one piece bottom-up. Though simple, I still prefer to knit top down coz I love trying it out as I go. I am not too crazy about the yarn though. So many people are raving about it and the pattern does call for jitterbug but it’s a bit rough on my skin. I guess this slight ruggedness gives it a good structure. My gauge is a bit off, which is why I am knitting size 34 to compensate for it.
Boy oh boy, it took me almost three months to knit this baby up. This is probably going to be my last long sleeves sweater until August, I need to concentrate on summer projects.

I love the details on the placket. Red looks good on you. Your Chantilly is very cute too.
It’s gorgeous – I just love that bright red! You did such a great job, and the detail on the front is lovely. And it definately will go with so much!
Ok, just left the comment above, and WordPress decided to change my name to Sewitis??!!! Odd.
oh that is so odd…thanks for your sweet note
That is beautiful! I love the color.
