This month I am commemorating my two years anniversary of crafting
I first learned knitting in October of 2008 at Bobbins Nest Studio in Santa Clara. I loved it instantly and diligently worked on my hole-filled scarf for a few weeks. I lost my patience quickly and abandoned the half-done scarf to take on sweater projects. Folks at Ravelry suggested that I tried out baby sweater before moving on to adult. A very good advice indeed and I successfully produced a raglan cardigan for m nephew Nathan using some acrylic yarn from Jo-Ann. An impatient student that I was, I moved on to adult size sweater right after that and knit myself Amused by Jordana Paige (free pattern on Knitty)
Looking back, I think it was quite brave of me to knit such a complex sweater as my first adult sweater. This complexity of this sweater for a beginner like myself was the provisional cast on and the cable. Also the fact that, I have very minimum knowledge of sweater construction and zero concept of wearing ease. The result is not so bad I must say and it is still my fall/winter staple
Yarn: 9 balls of Karabella Merino Superwash (so buttery and soft). Sadly after two years, it starts pilling
Needle: 10.5

So beautiful! So much better than my first sweater! (Which ended up getting felted, cut up and used for crafts… )
